::waves:: Just letting everyone know I'm not dead (yet) and that I'm trying to keep busy.
1.) Still at Joey's dad's house. At this rate, I feel like we'll never be outta here. 2.) Work is 'cutting hours', whole food never called me back, I'm still at B&N, though maybe not much longer. 3.) Three of my credit cards are now paid off. Woohoo! 4.) I'm trying to get my life together. Wish me luck.

Stuff and Soap...Been awhile since I was last here...shame shame on me...my poor blog is in even more neglect. I think I will crosspost this to keep it current.
Okay, stuff that has happened: 1.) I got new glasses and can see now. 2.) My cousin Erica is pregnant. That makes all three of my married cousins in the last 2 years. Weird. 3.) I went to the doctors. I have a bladder infection. That sucks. 4.) My triglycerides are awesome and normal, which rules 5.) I'm officially old, cause health stuff counts as "news". 6.) Joey and I are getting along great :-D 7.) I might start working at Whole Foods, cause they pay 8.50 an hour there (!)
Yah.
That's about it for now..Except that I got the soap webpage up and running :-D Check it: http://www.nakedbeauty.homestead.com~Fox

I'm working today and it was supposed to be my day off. My manager couldn't come in, so I was like, yeah, sure...I'll work. I definately could use the hours.
I was calculating the tax that was being taken out of my paycheck by the ratio of a smaller check...aka I was "timesing" (haha..great word) my hours by 7 (I make 7.50) to account for the taxes coming out. I looked at a 37 hour check today and, lo and behold, the ratio turns out to be $5.90, and that's *before* they take a chunk out for my health insurance. Five fuckin dollars and ninety cents. WTF? I was expecting a 280 paycheck and I got a 220. Kind of a rude awakening. The government gets a buck fifty from me every hour for...what? A social security program that's going to be obsolete by the time I use it? Our non-existent national healthcare program? Oh, Oh, I know..because we need to drain more money out of our economy to fight this damned war. ::grits teeth::
At the very least, we should get prime rate on the money the government "holds" for us until taxtime and makes us do complicated paperwork to get back. I am of the opinion that that is perfectly fair.
Joey and I are both pretty miserable with allergies...it's so weird I have allergies now - I *never* had them before. My eyes are watery, my ears, nose and jaw hurts, and I have a constant headache. This is just stupid. It should seriously just stop.
I have a feeling I'm going to miss the Riverfest in Red Bank this year...Joey and I kept trying to go and something kept coming up. I think I'm going to go after work today, alone. I just want to spend an hour or two there, that's all. I'm going to miss all the fairs if I don't get moving, too.
Grah. I gotta get moving and ready for work. Ciao, all!

I got pulled over, for the registration my mom said she was going to renew for me to be nice, and never got around to doing. 54 bucks. I'm sick at heart and really, really not doing well right now. I'm packing up a lot of my things today because I'm getting the gypsy feeling again. I think I'll be moving not too long from now. To where, I'm not even sure yet. I really just don't want to be in this house or situation any longer. It's gotten to the point where it's severely injuring my health, both mental and physical. I'm getting suicidal, sluggish, and crying myself to sleep. I'm going to end up hospitalized if I don't leave, and very soon. Joey tells me his father is getting perturbed because people are talking behind his back. At this point, not only do I not care a fucking damn about what he's perturbed about, I'm going to leave before I lash out and make an even deeper rift instead of taking his completely nonsensical and self-righteous bullshit a second time. I hope this asshole is happy. He is destroying his son's life and relationship. I can't believe I was worried about Joe's ex fucking us up and failed to realize his father was doing it the entire time. ::sighs:: I have to go pack. I want to at least make a sizable dent by tonight. ~Fox

Hrm..okies. Joey and I just had the most amazingest vacation evar. Time to go link happy!
We jetted up to New Hope, PA after saying for months we were gonna. We left at around 8:30 Thursday night, and we got back tonight (friday) at about the same time. We stayed at the best hotel in the world, which reminded me soooo much of the kind of stuff I grew up with it's not even funny. Even the old-campground wood-panel smell to the place made me misty-eyed and deleriously happy. We frolicked and looked around and genuinely enjoyed ourselves (there were baby duckies to watch!!!), just soaking up the atmosphere in the early evening and morning.
Thennnn...we got in the car and went to a great diner and a nice flower farm (it's kind of disturbing that nearly every stop on our trip has a website, but, moving on) before driving down the road and seeing approximately eight bajillion antique stores and then a winery! (w00t!) Joey and I tasted a few and ended up with a bottle of their may wine and strawberry (yums!) as well as a portable corkscrew and two glasses with the winery logo on them.
And thennnn...we went to a place called Peddler's village and killed the rest of the whole day there, just wandering around (I almost lost Joey to a breathtaking Greenhouse, he almost lost me here) , taking 89 (!!) digital pictures of ourselves and everything else, eating a great lunch, and heading home as the twilight settled.
As we were going home, I got stuck in a tree, but thankfully escaped with my limbs intact and a slightly sore solar plexis. Joey laughed, pointed, and took pictures. He's lucky I love him.
I found out that a really cool girl I'm getting to be net-friendish with has the *same* bday as me, down to the year. It's freak-ay and lovely all at once. She is a wonderful personage and pretty-pretty because she is a fairy child. Yay!
ANNNND...my lush order came today!! Yay!!! I got my lush glitterbug, which is teensier than I thought...it's only about 2 1/2 inches long, but it does leave those nice iridescent sparkles. It smells...I don't even know how to describe it. It smells unscented. Like potter's clay or something. Or chapstick. It's not unpleasant to me...just seems like there ought to be a scent of some sort. I also got a fairy jasmine bath bomb, which I have yet to try but which is freakin huge looking to me...It's the size of an orange! They also sent me, for free because they are wonderful!! teeny soap samples of honey I washed the kids, ginger, and cereology (one of their brand new ones) And...and and and a Mr. Butterball bath bomb! How did they know it was what I really wanted to try?? What a fantastic surprise! I'm so ordering from them again, high shipping be damned.
So...yah! That's it for now. :)

Ok.
While I am still pretty much infuriated at life, I figure I needed *something* semi-good to counteract the last post.
I love Joey. Just wanna make that clear. Stuff is pissing me off a lot lately, but he does none of it intentionally and he's just a guy caught between family, guy-ness, and love interest, an age-old problem. I still think selling the car is a bad idea, but it's clear he is going ahead with it with or without my approval, so I'm going to try to limit my bitching to here so I don't stress him out. It's his money - that's the reason I've been telling myself every time I think "god this is a stupid idea". I have to remember that it's only stupid *to me* and that his reasons may be perfectly valid to persons other than me.
However, I remain carrying a hatred for his father. *That* is genuine and cannot be reasoned away, I have tried valiantly.
::puts the dead horses away in the shed for awhile::
I am channelling all my angry frizzy energies into being immersed in kitschy body product brands - namely- Philosophy, Demeter, Lush, GothRosary, and, very much so lately, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab oils..better known shorthand as BPAL. They have forums, an LJ community, and extensive collections, descriptions, limited editions and other order-ridden concepts that make the Virgo sensibilities in me utterly senseless with joy. It doesn't even matter if I like the oils, which I have yet to try, at this point. The *concept* is enough for me.
As pathetic as it sounds, after the whole...election incident...at Brookdale, I spiraled down so rapidly that I was getting into a suicidal frame of mind I hadn't entered for a very long time. Joey couldn't even bring me up. I went on the BPAL forums and read about something called a "circular swap". Basically, there's a list of a bunch of people, say 20 for illustration purposes. I entered into a "tea swap", so the first person on the list who came up with the idea for that particular swap, s/he will amass a bunch of tea (possibly involving the last leg of the previous season's tea swap) and send it to the next in line. They will take one or two of each kind, and put in 30 servings/teabags of their own contribution and send it to the next in line, and so on. The last person sends it to the originator of the swap, who will possibly use the huge mishmash to start the next season's, in turn. HOW GREAT IS THIS IDEA?!?//one11! My god. It actually made me feel better. They have serveral variant swaps, some involving birthdays, random gifts, soaps, and, of course, BPAL products. A few even have a lineup of rare BPAL oils they send around for everyone to sniff and test lightly, so everyone can get an idea.
There's also an NY gathering in central park (picnic!!!!!) on the 28th and I am there with BELLS on, you better believe it. I may bring henna so we can all henna each other. Do I know the first thing about henna? Hell no. But I bet it will be well-liked :) Oh god...I may even make these elusive things people call "friends". ACK!

Hate hate anger hate.
I'm not English Club president anymore. They voted in two people, one of whom I have never seen at a single english club meeting, because they were the only two running, even though I'd all but carved into my forehead that I was planning on remaining, to both Suzanne and Rick. Rick wouldn't even take me up on my months-long offer of a drink after the last English Club, and I was properly meant to feel like I didn't exist. Nevermind the money I'd shelled out of pocket on food for every meeting all semester, hey, why should I remain president? I only called out of work to help with the convention, after all. Let's forget all the random crap I've done, all the things and personal time I've sacrificed, all the times I've run around like a headless chicken to make sure things work. You know what? FUCK ALL OF IT. I AM MEANINGLESS.
::dusts off her hands:: Now that I'm through with that particular unpleasantness..
Joey had, as of a day and a half ago, decided not to sell his car. His father talked to him and, lo and behold, all of a sudden he wants to sell it again. His father's on the phone like a fucking pimp trying to procure new whores, finding every truck in the tri-state area for Joey to buy. Instead of seeing a movie, like he had told me we would, we were driving out to South River (father in tow while I was in the backseat, of course) to look at some piece of shit the guy was trying to pass off as a great truck, and...ohhh..what a massive surprise...we ended up at guitar center and came home with a NEW BASS. I'm fucking beside myself with joy. Now I can hear frank fucking zappa 24/7 in a whole different tone breadth with the decibel three goddamn degrees to the left.
I asked Joey to look for places on the net where we could go for a trip tonight into tomorrow, this being the first time in probably at least 6 months where we've been able to, and he didn't get a chance to look. But, of course, he managed to find the specs on this truck and mapquest to South River and time to call the guy about the truck. Not only that, but we stopped to look at a truck from World Auto Sales on the way home. When this whole truck business first started, Joey was looking at a certain place and his father told him absolutely not, he heard from a friend's cousin's brother or something that it was a bad place. Joey wouldn't get that truck. Yet there's no problem at considering a place that sold a 20 year old young woman a car for over the blue book value WITHOUT AIRBAGS and a BROKEN SEATBELT MECHANISM that was supposedly "fixed" twice, both of which sent her flying into the dashboard in a lowspeed crash, leaving her with bruises all over her chest, an ER hospital visit, and breathing issues for two months? Namely, ME. The car was MY ESCORT.
I'm rapidly getting into a very foul mood about the way things are going, if you couldn't tell.

Allo all.
So...hm. Been a busy few days for me. Spent a lot of time with mom, so that was good. It's nice just hanging out with her. She had off due to her office, mostly egyptian, having off for their equivelent of Easter. She's gotten a new lovebird and quaker parakeet...the former is a cuddlebug, the latter a nippy little bitch, but we're working on it. Ariel is stupid as ever. I still love her.
Things had been unwell in the heart department lately - Joey and I have been so busy and tired we don't get to see one another. We got to spend last night together, and it was really nice, and he was really sweet - I just hope that the trend continues. I feel as if we spend hardly any time together, and what we do get is stolen, and taken in constant fear of something interrupting us. Agh. I'm counting the seconds until we're able to get the hell out of here and have a place of our own. (Still am not keen on a trailer. I'm honestly trying to be. )
He came home, went to our storage garage, got my beltane dresses and shoes and laid them out for me, and spent the rest of the time making a breathtaking headdress for me from the remains of an extremely hardy bouquet he had bought me recently. And staples. I love him.
Saturday, I was feeling crappy anyway, so I called out. I went to a Literary Convention at B-dale to help and volunteer, met some really cool authors and poets. Got to eat dinner a few seats away from Stephen Dunn, the Pulitzer Prize winner. I also met Holly Black, the very friendly author behind The Spiderwick Chronicles. Wish I wasn't so tired at the end of the night...he was doing a reading and I kept spacing. The con was really nice, though. Suzanne and Michael and co did a great job putting it together..it was a real professional operation! Lots of free food, too. Free food is always good. We had tea, coffee, salad, wraps, cakes, and dinner for the presenters and helpers at the Lincroft Inn..there was even wine and chocolate mousse :-D We got 92 bucks a head for the convention, and it seemed like there was a heck of a lot of people in each workshop, so I think we did pretty well, all things considered. I'd love to get a final tally from Suzanne. I'm not sure what the money goes toward - I *think* the visiting writers series.
I've decided to go back to school. Maybe this summer, but definately in the fall. At least one class - Joey's graduated already (well, will in two weeks, but he has his diploma already) and I feel like I'm wasting time. I want my degree, at least my associates. I need about 25-30 credits to graduate, or thereabouts. Maybe another year, if I apply myself. Two if I take it slow. I'm not worried - a degree is a degree. It's more important to get money right now. I really do want to stay in the area if we can. I like this area. I can go to the communiversity if I stay here.
Hm. Well, more updates later.
