There are some unique breeds of pain that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Having a thought or image in your brain that will not vanish no matter what you do, that becomes your final thought if you ever do finally get to sleep, and, completely unbidden, the first thought of the hazy consiousness that occurs before you open your eyes in the morning.

Having knowledge you are not supposed to, would not take again if given the chance, and find impossible to confess to having.

Knowing that you might have hurt someone, no matter how badly they might have hurt you.

Becoming frantic and intensely depressed in increasing intervals during time in which you have many other concerns that can't be ignored, and never being able to commit more then half of yourself to them.

Having absolutely no appetite, desire of sleep, or will to live for days at a time.

Knowing what you should feel, what you can feel, what you need to feel, what you want to feel, and what you actually do feel, but being completely unable to reconcile even one of them into something resembling peace.

Brothers and sisters, and you know who you are - I ask you, if you can, to keep a gentle word for me. Again I enter into the dark and winding path of the human soul, and it is my feverent wish to emerge this time with the one I love beside me, instead of taking the endless journey alone.
